Day 1 Quiltathon Progress

I made this tablerunner at a class at the LQS probably a year ago! Oh my!! Where has the time gone? Anyway I was able to get it quilted today. Hoping to get the binding made and sewn on yet today. My quilting isn't the greatest...I wish I was better at it...need to get Hubby to fix the leg in the table to my machine maybe that would help to have more support for it. But then again maybe more practice and a glass of wine first! LOL And since we are looking at sunflowers, here's a picture of the sunflowers Jim grew in the garden this winter. And that's Eddie peeking out from around them! Crazy cat!

Kathy - when I first started free motion quilting on my domestic machine and wasn't very good at it, I found that by using invisible thread on the top and regular thread in the bobbin, it worked wonders as it held the layers together, but the boo-boos weren't as noticeable as when I used a contrasting top thread!
