Placemats

I was beginning to wonder if I would get these done before Halloween.  I finished them Friday and they are now in use.  2 of them as curtains and the other 2 for placemats.  I used fall fabric for the backing so I can turn them over on Nov 1st and use till I decorate for Christmas.  They aren't the greatest but the husband likes them!  The pattern for the placemats came from Eleanor Burns and I will be making the wallhanging for next year.

OPAM Finishes for June!!

Earlier this month I attended an awesome and super fun quilt retreat.  While there I finished off 2 projects!!!  Finally I am back to getting to the sewing machine!

The first finish is what I call the Christmas Magazine Challenge that was done with members from an online group I belong to.  The challenge was to find a magazine or quilt book and make a project from it that we had not made before.

My other finish for June is what I call my Drink Quilt!
The name came from the fabric I used.
This was made in a class at the LQS and was fun to make.
When I got to our Son's on the way home from Retreat I took it in and
showed him and well lets just say it is now living with Tim!

OPAM Finish for February!

This is the door decoration that I have been working on this week.  When I quilted it I used an antique decorative stitch on my machine.  I am pleased with how it turned out.  Now I need to think on something for St. Patrick's Day!  This makes finish # 2 for the year and #1 for February.  I plan on having more finishes for this month.

OPAM for 2010

Peg over at Happy in Quilting and Kris at Tag Along Teddies are hosting another Finish One Project a Month for 2010.  They have limited it to 150 participants this year.  So if you're interested head over to Peg's blog and read all about it!  Last year when I had the time to work on projects it was great motivation to get something finished!
