Design Wall January 28, 2013

Well my wall still has my Sue blocks on it, however they are now a top....not real happy with the fabric choice I made for sashing, but it will do.  Next up is to pick out backing fabric and get it quilted.  What's on your wall this week?  To see more go to Judy's...lots of inspiration there.

Design Wall Monday January 21,2013

On my design wall this week are some Sunbonnet Sue blocks that are from a few years ago from an online swap I participated in.  Today will be spent auditioning fabrics for sashing and borders.  Hope to have this into a top this week and then start on the quilting process.  The small Sue will be made into a small doll quilt to hang on the wall in the sewing room.  The Dresden is a current project for Get it Done in January....To see other great design walls head over to patchwork times

Bunny is finished!!

I am happy to say that I have finished Peek a Boo Bunny and I think she is too cute!  Hard to believe that this is finish number 2 and January is only half over with.....wonder what will be next?  That makes 2 of my Get it Done for January to work on the other 2.

Get it Done halfway report for January

I finished the Rubber Ducky baby quilt, it was made using fleece for the backing and flannel for the stripes on the front.  I know Zuri is going to love it!  Also have gotten the Peek a Boo Bunny all quilted and bound and got the materials to do the embellishing.  Hope to have that done today.  So I feel pretty good at the halfway mark on my goals for this month.  How are you doing?

Rubber Ducky finished Jan 10,2013
Peek a Boo Bunny quilted and bound-needs embellishments added
Santa Sampler slowly working on buttonhole stitching around Santa's
Dresden Bloom slowly working on hand stitching the plates down

Design Wall Monday January 14

My wall has 2 projects is the Dresden Plate which I so want to get to the point where I can make the borders and get this into a top.  I have some hand stitching to do on the plates and need to get the circles cut out and stitched down also.  The other project are some Sunbonnet Sue blocks that were from an online swap a number of years ago.  Need to play with a layout and get it into a top so I can finish this month.  I hope!  To see more design wall projects head over to Patchwork Times

Short List/Get it Done/Quiltathon

Judy is hosting a quiltathon that started today and goes through the 13th.  I so hope to have another finish before this weekend is over and progress made on 2 other projects as well.  Today I worked on one of my 4 projects for this month!!!  I am so happy to have that finish so early in the year.  Hopefully it will help to keep me motivated to have more....

Rubber Ducky is a great little quilt to make up for a new baby or a toddler that needs a special blanket to snuggle with.

Design Wall Monday January 7

This week on my design wall is a quick and easy baby quilt.  I got the strips cut out over the holidays and finally got time to sit down and start stitching on it.  The backing is fleece and the strips are flannel, it is going to make a nice gift for a friend of Heather's.

Head over to Judy's to see what everyone is working on this week.
