Quilt-Along with Judy


Well I bit the bullet and signed up for the Quilt-Along that Judy over at Patchwork Times is hosting. The quilt is awesome and she is encouraging us to pull all fabrics from our stash. First thing I had to find in there was a striped fabric...I had a couple options and then it was matching up other fabrics to go with it. I am really pleased with the choices I made. If I don't have enough for the HST's picked out I will have to pull a more, as some of the pieces I pulled are bits and pieces. But I think they will work. I took this picture last night and well it is pretty close to showing the right colors...I may take another one this afternoon and see if it is any better.

Diet Challenge Report Feb 16th

My reports on weight loss/gains will be from my Weight Watcher weigh-in days which is on Weds. I knew going to weigh-in last week that I had probably gained. Walked in hoping it wasn't going to be too bad. Well I gained .4 pounds...whew it could have been so much worse! So my total loss to date is 1 pound. This week has been a little better, but not much. I have been trying to get in water everyday and trying to eat healthier...but well you know how that goes. Here's hoping this week's weigh-in will be good.
Now I wonder who won the drawing?????

Finally I got to sew!


Currently my brain has been going in about a thousand different directions and sewing has taken a back seat. Today I made up my mind that I would touch fabric and I would use my machine! So I made up 4 waterwheel blocks from the pattern by Marcia on Quilter's Cache.

Diet Challenge Report Feb 9th

This past week hasn't been as good as I'd like, however I am determined to keep at this and get better. My weight loss reports will be from my Weight Watcher weigh in day which is Weds. So this post will reflect what I lost last week. I am happy to announce that I lost 1.4 pounds!! I just hope this Weds will be a loss as well. I really need to get better at planning and cooking. Things have been stressful at work and I tend to be a stress eater..so I've been trying to watch and not do that too much, or at the very least try and make healthier choices about what I am putting in my mouth. So how is everyone else doing?

I swear she has the strangest cat around. He loves to go out to the pool...lean over and put his paw in and then drink the water off his paw. Of course if we have just put in chemicals we don't let him out there...but here is a cute pic of him and the pool the other day.

Monday diet post.....

I joined Sharon over at Red Geranium in her diet journey and this week hasn't been the greatest. I went on Weds and joined Weight Watchers and it has not been a really good week. I am not sure if I have lost any weight as I haven't stepped on the scale and I see that I am also to post a salad recipe. Ok salad recipe is:

Anti-pasta

1 box spiral noodles
Sliced pepperoni
Black olives
Reduced fat cheese
Low fat Italian salad dressing

Cook pasta according to directions on box. Slice pepperoni if not already sliced, slice olives and cube cheese. Mix together and toss with italian dressing. Chill and serve.

Here's hoping next week is better.
