June 30th Stashbusting Report
This past week I didn't accomplish a whole lot. I did make up 5 blocks that needed to be mailed off for QOV Quilts and 1 was a swap block. I prepped some sock blocks and did get a 4 more completely done! Otherwise it was a quiet week, except for working while supposedly having time off! LOL I haven't had a chance to update my stash totals for this past week...so will add that later or next week.

It's Saturday!
Last night while reading various blogs I ran across Peg's blog and she is having a Finish 5 in July challenge! Well like a dummy I joined! LOL I seriously think I can finish up 3 things by the end of July. And today and Sunday is Quiltathon hosted by Judy L Already this morning I made 2 blocks for QOV and they are in the mail as I type. And yesterday I got an early start to Quiltathon and made 3 other blocks and they are at the post office as well. Today need to run a couple errands, do something about lunch and then work at 5 pm, hopefully not earlier, as I want to do some more work on my socks for the Lost Sock Swap Well I'm off to get the rest of my day moving! Have a grand one!

Motivation Friday? Hmmm...
Well today is motivation Friday and I should report what I have done for the week. Well it isn't pretty...I truthfully can't remember a thing I did do. Monday was my birthday....Tuesday was Jim (DH) birthday...Weds was to be a day off to sew and ended up going to work...Thurs did end up being a day off for both me and Jim and we both were on the phone numerous times with work and I ended up in a couple of times. Today another day off for both of us..Jim has been luckier than me, he has had no work calls. I have had a couple and will probably end up in there for a little bit tonight. So the only sewing I have gotten done is I made a star block for Shirley! Sure hope next week is more productive!

Tonight's dinner
We had Italian roast beef with mashed potatoes and tossed salad. Boy was it good and so easy to make! Will use the leftovers of the beef for sandwhiches over the weekend.
Italian Roast Beef:
3-4 lb Beef Roast
1 pkg. Good Season's Italian Dressing Mix (2 if large roast)
1 pkg Au Jus mix (2 if doing large roast)
½ cup water
Cook 3-4 lbs roast in the crockpot with 1 package Good Season's Italian dressing mix and ½ cup water. Cook about 8 hrs, until the roast is falling apart.Remove any fat and bones; discard. Shred beef and put back into the crockpot. Mix the Au Jus as directed on package. Add to beef in crockpot. Put the lid back on and turn on high for another 45 min. to 1 hour.
**NOTE**
Discard the "broth" before shredding beef and adding Au Jus because it is usually pretty fatty.
It's trying to rain/storm out there...
But so far most of it has blown inland. I'm sure we'll get some rain and some point in time today. Was just reading Jackie's blog and she is doing a giveaway to have a quilt quilted for free. Her cat Rolo is too cute!
Here is my helper, Eddie! As you can see Eddie didn't like my layout and was re-arranging my blocks how he thought they should go!

Socks!
I have been having an issue at least to me an issue with how my heels and toes were turning out or rather not turning out. So I went to applique club this morning and got some help and think I may have it now. At least I understand better what to do and how. So I did these today and they look better to me. Still not as nice as I would like...but feel like they are improving.

grated Parmesan cheese
1. Combine all ingedients except spaghetti and cheese in a 4 quart (or larger) crockpot.
2. Cover, cook on low 6-8 hours or High 3-5 hours. Turn to high during the last 30 minutes and stir in dry spaghetti. (If spaghetti is not cooked cook another 10 mins and check)

June 15th Stash Report
This week was not a productive week for me. I got the heels/toes sewn onto 2 more socks. So I am starting to make progress. And I prepped more heels/toes to start sewing on tonight. Otherwise no sewing for me this week. I did stop at the LQS and came out without buying a thing!! Next week won't be as good as my Designer Mystery BOM package arrives that Vicky megged me on!

If I had a brain....
I would be dangerous! lol I have just spent the past 10 minutes looking for the new Joann Fabrics sales flyer. Couldn't find it...so I went to their website only to discover that the current ad is good thru this coming Saturday! DUH!! I tried working on socks last night...and ended up throwing them on the cutting table and walking away. I was trying to prep the 11 blocks that are ready for heels and toes and my nails were getting in the way and things just weren't working out. So nail appointment today, they will be shorter by the time I get home! LOL I want these 11 done so I can move on to more! LOL

Sunday report
This past was a fairly good one for me. I sewed more on my quilt for an hour which is almost a top now! Was able to get the blocks sewn into a table runner and bordered and worked more on socks. And can now say I have one completely finished! Gonna be knocking these out fast now...deadline is fast approaching. I did add 1/2 yard of fabric for more socks.

My progress for Weds
Well I spent alot of today on the phone. My Mom called like 3 times and a couple friends also. But I managed to put a beef roast and all the trimmings in the crockpot and then did some computer work. After that I mended an apron for a co-worker and then went on a hunt for some sunflowers I fussy cut for a table runner and no idea where Eddie hid them! LOL Gave up looking for them and moved on to some blocks that I got in a swap. They are gingerbread men and 9 patches. Got them sewn together and then auditioned fabrics for the borders. Finally picked the 2 that I am using and got those washed. Will iron, cut and sew them on tomorrow. Then I laid out the quilt for an hour blocks and got them how I wanted them and started sewing them together. I have quit for the night, but am going to try and get another sock sewn down while I watch the remainder of the Yankees game! Here's a pic of the blocks for the table runner.
It's Quiltathon Day!!
And I have the day off work! So I am gonna rev up the machine and get some sewing done today. Will post updates and pics as the day goes on. Well I'm off to tidy up the kitchen and get dinner in the crockpot.

Finally getting out of rotten mood I've been in....
The past few days I have not been in the best of moods....and it is finally turning around. On a good note I have Weds off and it is 1 of 2 days this week that Judy is hosting her Quiltathon! I so plan on sewing Weds. Ran up to the grocery store earlier and picked up a beef roast to put in the crockpot and some lunchmeat to make a sandwhich for lunch. I am all set in the food department! There are a number of projects that I want to get working on and try and finish up. Have been working slowly on my socks for Mar's Lost Sock Swap and have 6 ready for heels and toes and 6 more waiting to be stitched down to the backgrounds. My goal is to sew a couple or more everynight.

Stashbusting Report
Geesh did Judy have to remind us that 5 months of the year are over with? LOL I just read Judy's blog and see that there is a reason why I keep buying fabric! Thank you Judy for pointing out the various reasons. Now to get my husband to understand it as well. Hmmm...thinking that may take some work.
I didn't accomplish a whole lot this week, other than finishing up 24 blocks for Judy's Quilt For An Hour....I had hoped to have it into a top this weekend, but that didn't happen. My energy got up and left for this week. So here's hoping this week is much better. I have a number of things I really want to do and a few I need to do. I have really got to get busy on those socks the end of July will be here before I know it! I'm thinking after posting this that I will go and get some cut out and prep some blocks so I can stitch while watching baseball this week.
