On my wall this week is my shamrock that I worked on over the weekend. I added the setting triangles and then the fairy frost light green border to finish the top. This week it will get quilted and embellished and will be ready to hang on the front door. What's on your wall this week? Design Wall January 28, 2013
Well my wall still has my Sue blocks on it, however they are now a top....not real happy with the fabric choice I made for sashing, but it will do. Next up is to pick out backing fabric and get it quilted. What's on your wall this week? To see more go to Judy's...lots of inspiration there.

Design Wall Monday January 21,2013
On my design wall this week are some Sunbonnet Sue blocks that are from a few years ago from an online swap I participated in. Today will be spent auditioning fabrics for sashing and borders. Hope to have this into a top this week and then start on the quilting process. The small Sue will be made into a small doll quilt to hang on the wall in the sewing room. The Dresden is a current project for Get it Done in January....To see other great design walls head over to patchwork times

Design Wall Monday January 14
My wall has 2 projects going...one is the Dresden Plate which I so want to get to the point where I can make the borders and get this into a top. I have some hand stitching to do on the plates and need to get the circles cut out and stitched down also. The other project are some Sunbonnet Sue blocks that were from an online swap a number of years ago. Need to play with a layout and get it into a top so I can finish this month. I hope! Design Wall Monday Sept 6
I am back to working on my Christmas quilt, here is what I have on the wall right now and many, many more to sew up! I also ordered the rest of the fabric to finish this quilt from Hancocks of Paducah, it was on sale!!
The pattern is called Summer Ribbons by Fig Tree Quilts. It's an easy pattern, uses a jelly roll plus other fabric.

Design Wall Monday on Tues July 13
I finally have something different on my wall this week! I know shocking isn't it? LOL The R/W/Black blocks are called Indian Mat and the pattern can be found on http://www.quilterscache.com/ Very easy pattern! The stars will be made into a kitchen curtain and a front door decoration for the various patriotic holidays. The scrappy jacbos ladder will go with others and be made into a quilt for CASA for retreat next year.

Design Wall Monday June 21st
This has been on my design wall for quite awhile now and it is coming off this week!
I just need to finish 2 blocks and then square up and sew the rows together and it will be a top. Then to figure out if I want borders on it and then it will go into the to be quilted pile!

Design Wall Monday Feb 8
On my wall this week is the 30's Sampler from last week. I was able to get the sashing and cornerstones cut out. Here it is laid out...the sashing and stones will go the whole way around the outside like on the right side of the picture. The cornerstone fabric will also be the final border. Sashing fabric is a WOC print and will be the backing and binding.
This is the cornerstone and backing fabric

Design Wall Monday Feb 1
This is my elimination project for February. They are 30's blocks from a couple online swaps I did a few years ago. I did not realize until I put them up on the wall this morning that 4 of them are unbleached muslin and the remaining 8 are bleached or white. So now my deliman begins. I am thinking as I look at them to put the 4 oddballs in each of the 4 corners and then find something to sash each block with to split up the white and cream from being right next to each other. What ideas do you have? I'm open for suggestions!

Design Wall Monday Jan 25
Every Monday Judy over at Patchwork Times prods us along some fantastic project on her design wall and then wants us to post a picture of what is on ours. Well this year I haven't had much going in the way of design wall Mondays. So here are a couple pictures of what was on my wall this morning. The 3 blocks were for a Christmas Tree online swap and the others were for another online swap to make a Buckeye Beauty.

Design Wall Monday Jan 11
Part of these blocks were on my design wall last Monday. This week I have all 6 of them up and am playing with how I want to group them. Right now the top 3 will be the kitchen valance, the 2 will be the door hanging and the one lonely one will be a table topper which will be crazy quilted. Am also going through the stash looking for fabrics to put with them for borders, etc. I hope to have these done soon. Of course I had to include a picture of Eddie. Currently he is sleeping on the couch on top of the tree skirt. I had the skirt in our room waiting to be put away with some other items, once I got a container to put them in and he thought the other night she should get up on the cedar chest and sleep on it. So I brought it out in the living room.

Design Wall Monday Jan 4
I actually have 2 things on my design wall for today! The hearts are from a swap I did with an online group last year. I am going to use 3 of them to make a valance for my kitchen window, 2 of them to make a front door decoration and the last one to make a small table topper for the table in front of our couch. I was talking with Diane yesterday and she suggested I do some crazy quilt stitching on the one for the table topper. So today I will spend a little time looking at stitches on my machine and looking for my lacey appliques to see if I have one or two that might work for this as well. The blue and cream blocks blocks are for another online swap I am doing and I will be finishing up the other color scheme today and get them ready to mail off soon. The ones I have gotten so far are really pretty.

Design Wall Monday....
Every Monday Judy over at Patchwork Times does Design Wall Monday. Well today my design wall is extremely empty! The cat and 4 patch blocks are leftovers from swaps I did in December. This week I will have to get busy and make sure there is something up there for next Monday.

Design Wall Monday....
I actually have something on my desing wall today. I know surprise! LOL The blocks were from an online squishie swap I did a number of years ago. You sent out a piece of your fabric to those that were participating, told them size block to make and they put some of their fabric with it and made you a block and sent back to you. It was alot of fun and I have a ton of blocks from the 3? years I participated. I got it into a top and will be marking it so I can start quilting it.
