Stash Report April 25th

Well the house has been torn up since Easter Sunday when we started all the work in the living and dining rooms.  Walls are painted, trim around lanai doors painted, so hoping today to get the verticles hung back up.  So needless to say I haven't done any sewing, wish I had and I plan to do some this week.  I have had 3 qulits looking/make that screaming at me to put the binding on them!  So they are on the plan for this week along with making some blocks to mail off.  Otherwise I have been sort of knitting on a towel and de-cluttering my desk.  I also have 3 UFO's yelling to be sewn into tops and/or finish blocks so they can be sewn into tops.  Hope to do some work on those this week as well.  Sounds ambitious, lets hope I can get some of it accomplished.

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

While we were on our little vacation, we went to the Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in Clearwater, FL.  They have a guided tram tour you can take, which we did and had an awestome time even we were fighting raindrops and threatening storms moving in.  Our guide was great, he was very well knowledged in all the animals, etc at the Preserve.  Here is the link to pictures we took.  Enjoy!

On the stashbusting front...nothing was sewn and nothing came in.  Sure hope this week is better.  I have 3 projects I would like to make progress on and 3 quilts that need binding.  One can wish it all happens.

Stash Report

We have been in Clearwater the past few days on a mini vacation.  This has been one of the most relaxing times we've had in a long while, so much so that we extended our stay another night!  We visited Rainbow's End in Dunedin and I slipped off the wagon and bought some yummy fabrics.  And then we stopped at Country Bears and Quilts in Clearwater and once again I slipped off and bought more fabric and a pattern!  Since I left my camera cord at home you will have to wait for pictures to be posted after we get home.  Also did some sightseeing and will share those pictures later on as well.  I have done some knitting while Jim has had to field a few work issues. 

So here's my report for this week:

Design Wall Monday/Late Stash Report

First for those that have asked the picture of the whirlpool was  from Minnesota River flooding

Every Monday Judy over at Patchwork Times has Design Wall Monday.  We are to share what is on our wall that we are working on.  Well this week I have 1 on my wall, 1 on the floor and 1 on the sewing table.  I am hoping to get 2 of these into tops this week. 

This is a log cabin that I am laying out as a star and is on the floor wall.  I need to make 2 more blocks and then the assemblying can start.  Also think I have enough strips cut to make the 2 blocks!

This is called Nutcracker Wreath and was in the 2003 Quilting for Christmas Magazine and is on the sewing table.  I have everything cut, 1 block completed and the remainer of the blocks are in various stages of assembly.

And well this one we have been looking at for a long time on the design wall, I am so ready for it to disappear!
