Found them!
For some unknown reason I put my scissors and rotart cutter in the pocket thingy on the hard case to my sewing machine! I called the LQS while at work yesterday and they said nope didn't find them...class instructor said I put them by your machine....so all day at work I kept thinking where on earth did I hide them...well low and behold there they were in that darn pocket!! LOL

Took a bag class last night
Last night the LQS offered another in their series of bag class of the month. We made the Building Block Bag put out by Indigo Junction. Here are a couple pics of the bag. I used the Hoffman Challenge Fabric from 2004 which was an awesome gift from Vicky as my Secret Sister that year! Thanks so much Vicky! I finally made something with some of the fabric....And I just discovered that I left my rotary cutter and scissors there, so need to make a phone call and see if they found them.....

Here is an apron I finished up today and Heather is modeling it!
Sunday Report for Feb 24
This past week was a little better for me....I did do some sewing! I finished 1 snowflake block and made a sailboat table topper, which I need to finish the border on and then I can quilt it. I also worked on an apron. Had a friend ask me to make her a sailboat baby quilt and she loves the pattern I just used...so will have to make a trip to the LQS and get the fabric for that.

Sailboat
Went to quilt class last night and made this really cute sailboat table topper. It went together really quick and was pretty easy.....I just need to tack down the border in even increments and then topstitch down the curves that will be made by the tacking...then it's on to backing, quilting and binding!Tuesday, February 19, 2008
Been an interesting few days!
Came home from work Friday and let Eddie out on the patio....didn't think anything of it, as he goes out there all the time. Awhile later I see he is really into watching/stalking something and go out to investigate and discover he is intently watching a snake! Thank heavens it is outside the screen! Jim looked around and we think it has moved on or else it is hiding somewhere.....hmmmm......
This is the snowflake block that I have mentioned. It is paper pieced and I need to make 5 more. It is a gorgeous block, but very time consuming!
This is the snowflake block that I have mentioned. It is paper pieced and I need to make 5 more. It is a gorgeous block, but very time consuming!Monday morning I was awakened by Eddie doing something in the kitchen and I could tell by the noise that he was after something......well it was still dark and with Jim in Norway I didnot get out of bed to check. When I got up later I went to the kitchen to see what I could find and found a palmetto bug by the cookbooks.....I screamed, hate these things with a passion! BIG PASSION! Which in turn woke Heather up and between the two of us, we were able to kill it....and then I had to pick it up to throw it out....ICK! NASTY!!
Now for a good picture! Jim went to Norway this week for business and here are a couple pictures he has taken so far....

Late Sunday stashbusting report ....
The past 2 weeks I have managed to sew the binding on the table runner and get it pinned to the back to be hand sewn down, finish cutting all the fabric to make 6 snowflake blocks for a swap I'm in, make up a block for the House BOM at the LQS, wash sock fabrics, sew some on snowflake blocks...they are taking time as they are paper pieced and lots of pieces! I also managed to add to my stash for a table topper class this coming Weds night. Not sure about my totals currently. Need to evaluate them and will post later on this week.
